Trace metals in the general Flemish population: exposure and health effects.
PROJECT SUMMARY:
There is more and more evidence that even low concentrations of pollutants in our environment can affect our long-term health. One group of pollutants that often returns is metals. It is important to know the levels of exposure in our population in order to compare to other populations and health guidelines, and in order to link these exposures with lifestyle or health effects. This information can further on form the basis for policy action.
