Short Bio
I am a postdoctoral researcher focused on reconstructing the flux of extraterrestrial material to Earth during specific time. I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Geology at the Università di Firenze, specializing in sedimentology, petrography, geochemistry, and stratigraphy. My PhD aimed to reconstruct extraterrestrial matter's flux to Earth across specific time intervals, adding an astronomical dimension to Earth’s history. This was achieved through the extraction and analysis of extraterrestrial chrome-spinel grains and other proxies, such as iridium and impact spherules, in Cenozoic and mid-Ordovician sediments to trace variations in meteorite flux over time.I recently concluded a postdoc at Nanjing University, China, where my research involved petrographic and isotope analyses (K, Mg) of extraterrestrial materials, including the Chang’e-5 lunar basalts sample, Australasian tektites, and Late Eocene pancake spherules, contributing to the study of extraterrestrial mass delivery and cosmochemical isotope systems.
