A new paper as part of the recent PhD of Dr. Sietze de Graaff is published in the journal Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology. Its title is "Geochemical records of the end-Triassic crisis preserved in deep marine section of the Budva Basin, Dinarides, Montenegro". (read it here)
The end-Triassic is marked by a major mass extinction. This paper presents a complete geochemical record of a not yet studied but high-quality deep-water section near Canj in Montenegro, with paleomagnetism, δ13C, total organic carbon, major, trace and siderophile elements, Os-isotopes.
The field work to sample the well-exposed and beautiful Triassic-Jurassic boundary sections in Montenegro was carried out in part by boat, see below.
