As of 1 October 2026, Prof. Steven Goderis takes over as Head of AMGC, succeeding Prof. Philippe Claeys. A new era begins at AMGC.
Steven is a Research Professor at VUB whose work spans planetary science, cosmochemistry, impact cratering and the evolution of the early Solar System. He also leads the ERC Consolidator Grant FLUX, investigating how the flux of extraterrestrial material reaching Earth has changed through time.
The handover marks a new chapter for AMGC, building on the work and growth of the group under Philippe’s leadership. We look forward to the years ahead with Steven and wish him every success in his new role!
